| well. i just watched donnie darko with shaun. good movie, really trippy, you should all see it if you haven't. with the cast it had, i don't really know why i haven't heard more about the film in general. was it indie, or something? ah, well...it was definitely one of those 'holy shit'! movies, as shaun and i have come to classify them. another one? natural born killers. good. movie.
went to universale last night. wore clara's little red dress. and when i say little red dress, i do mean little. nina got drunk so i took her home, but it was all good as i couldn't do much other than stand around in a corner as it was. anyway. shitload of work to do...perhaps i should get on that? yuck.
want sleep.

| well. thus marks the third time i've signed up for this xanga thing. my first one was my longest run, but i don't know why i bother with these things. like i really have time to keep a bunch of the uninterested informed in my daily routines...haha, i think not. however, since it's done and all that good stuff, and since i did it primarily to be able to comment on other xangas (as much time as i claim to not have, i stalk like it's my job), whatever.
summer time is marked in the european union by the monumental tradition of...daylight savings time. having come from apparently the one country in the world that does not, in fact, partake in the energy-conserving routine of saving daylight (perhaps it's because the lights never go off in tokyo as it is) all i have to say is...i want my hour back. sympathizing with me at the nyu florence campus is shaun, and the other lovelies from the tokyo metropolitan area. so, go us. forza tokyo-ites! yes, wait to combine the languages there, sarah.
not much goes on in my life, except sleep, and food, and clubbing, and traveling, and occaisionally that particular reason my parents are forty-thousand dollars poorer this year--class. insofar as sleep, it happens all the time, and yet not enough. insofar as food, the caf food's pure poison and yet i look forward ridiculously to my beautiful salad every afternoon. insofar as the clubbing, there are approximately five in all of florence, and yet they are far more enjoyable than the cramped, smoke-filled corners of gaspanic. insofar as traveling, i've done a good bit of romepisabolognabarcelonamilanveniceparisgironaathensvienna thus far. the bolded are fall and spring break, respectively. spring break was only a couple of weeks ago, and yet it seems like forever. shaun and i spent the ten days doing absolutely nothing in the city which is the birth of the base of all historical, cultural, political, artistic, and philosophical thought. this weekend was my first experience on the night trains of the italian persuasion, in my trip to visit vienna--the apparent seat of the ruling empire that was the bane of my existence for a good two months in ap european history, familiarly known as the habsburgs.
insofar as class, it is occaisional, not because i do not attend, but because this is italy--all forms of work are at best occaisional. social foundations is spent catching up on the latest of prison break with pooja, a tall pretty indian girl from hong kong, prose is spent staring blankly at a white board or winking at yashan, a brit from kuala lampur, italian is spent in utter confusion and in the prospect of ice cream afterward with tala--a jordanian girl with short hair and a loud laugh, unum--the cutest and craziest pakistani, and divya--a native of bombay with a sweet disposition and glimmering smile, and finally cultural foundations is spent sitting next to my favorite boy, perfecting the art of our ability to communicate without speech. sadly, we're getting ridiculously good at it.
va bene. this is a rather long entry to mark my first, so i suppose i should wrap it up, as we say in the business. not that i know what the business is, or what they say in it, or if i can be counted as in it. allora. until the next, my peoples...
